2Blockheads.com is a family owned and operated company. The business was created in 2001 by the cross family. The concept of personalized products for the Cross Family all started with the birth of Linda's Grandson in 2000 named Aramus KinCaed... an unusual name as it was, it was very difficult to find anything with the name Aramus KinCaed on it and Linda and Carole wanted to personalize KinCaed's room and toys. So they designed and built a shelf using block letters, a name shelf is what it was called, and it was the very first 2Blockheads.com product you can see them here. So how did the 2Blockheads name come about you ask? Well, shortly there after and as part of a mom and daughter tradition of preparing for their annual fall craft fairs, they decided to launch this website with the Name Shelf product. They wanted a name that had something to do with blocks obviously.. and something that was kinda funny to represent both Carole and her mom... and thus was born 2Blockheads.com as a suggestion from Linda - Carole's mom. The first name shelves were a huge success and 2Blockheads.com was officially born in June 2001. The business quickly transitioned into being "education through personalization" with the addition of our custom handmade personalized books, name trains, personalized baby gifts, personalized music and personalized clocks. The cross family have been avid crafters for over 20 years. All members of the Cross family have helped out over the last few years.
